The Stories We Tell Ourselves and How to Rewrite Them
We all carry stories about who we are, what we’re capable of, and what’s possible for us. Some of these stories were handed to us by others, some we picked up through experience, and some we created to keep ourselves “safe.” But here’s the catch: those stories often aren’t true anymore (and maybe never were).
If you’re telling yourself, “I’m not good enough,” or “I always mess things up,” pause and ask: Where did that come from? Is it actually true, or just familiar? Rewriting your story starts with awareness. Start listening to your inner dialogue, question it, and choose a narrative that aligns with who you want to become. You don’t need permission to change the script. You just need to stop believing the old one.
